Howzit, My apologies for not blogging - I've been "off the tjaart" lately. I've been busy with entertaining family, preparing for q school, to now sitting here typing with 1 finger after my surgery today.
I had a great time in Dubai with my in-laws - from watching young Dean beating golf balls on the range, to enjoying "mild" desert drives with Andrew; not forgetting the great meals prepared by Lisa. Jessica remains fearless, as always, on those water rides. Dubai is an awesome vacation destination!
Having my brothers, Braam and JP, here in houston the following week was great as the 3 of us have never spent a weekend together on our own. Thanks for coming you 2 and thanks to the manne in Houston 4 making the time fly by and entertaining us.
Then it was back to the grindstone after a good 10 day break and boy, did my body need it!!
Mark and I are really starting to understand what I need to do with my swing. It showed in my ballstriking the last month but not necessarily in my scoring. I had fun with my wife on the bag again at Q School. Under the circumstances, we kept our sense of humour and committment. Although we did not make it to Finals, I really did enjoy Pips on the bag as she is awesome as a caddy and wow, does she have the green reading down to a fine art!! Thanks P xxx
As for my wrist, I am so thankful to have friends like Dave and Nancy Brown who helped me and guided me through this tough time with the anxiety over my wrist. You really made this procedure go by so easily and thanks 4 opening your house to me. Thanks to Doc Andy for today and for fixing me up and the staff at Methodist Hospital, you guys are awesome!
Well, as I am sitting here wishing I was playing my butt off at Finals, I am also so pleased I got the surgey done on my hand and I can start the road back to full recovery so I can kick some serious butt next year!
I hope that you all have a great Festive Season and here's hoping 2007 is going to be the best year ever; for you, and for me!
