Good morning from Singapore,
We arrived safely in Singapore, from Taiwan, John and I were glad to see the Taiwan Masters come to an end. John Rawlings and I have started working together since the Suncoast Classic at the Durban Country Club and I'm excited to have him on the bag, this week we can test our game against some of the best players this week and and the the rest of the year. Last week was very frustrating week, to say the least, due to a tricky course with bad greens and the course did not reward good shots! But fortunately it's over and we can focus on the week ahead here in Singapore. We took the day off yesterday and I did some golf 'admin' in the form of new grips on the clubs and we hit a few putts to check the speed of the greens.
Today it's back to work and I'm playing my practice round but a monsoon has moved in and it's pouring, the course is flooded so we'll wait patiently to get a look at the two courses.
It's myself and John first time to The Barclays Open at Sentosa and we looking forward to the challenge. The plan is to have a good solid finish this week so we can head home to South Africa next week to play the Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Golf Club.
I hope you golf is also in "good shape ". I'll be in touch soon from the links.
