Tjaart will tee off in the Athens Regional Foundation Classic at 7:30 am (6 hours behind SA) on Thursday from the 1st tee and at 12:30 pm (6 hours behind SA) on Friday from the 10th tee. He will be paired with fellow South African golfer Deane Pappas and England's Gary Christian.
At the end of this week's tournament, the conditional category that Tjaart finds himself in this year, will be re-shuffled. Currently, Tjaart's ranking in this conditional category is in the higher bracket of the conditional category due to his status on the PGA Tour last year. But due to Tjaart not having made a cut to date, he will move significantly towards the bottom of the conditional category as player's behind Tjaart who have made cuts, will move up in the ranking due to them having earned prize money. Ultimately, this fall down the ranking will mean that Tjaart's chances of getting in to events as the season progresses, is limited. There will be a re-shuffle after every 5 events from now on and should Tjaart manage to get into events and make money, he can once again be re-shuffled up the ranking order.
